While working on this shoot, I went back to my own memory — and to that of anyone who has ever stepped onto the ice on a pair of skates. I searched for a point of view that begins with a hand, an outstretched arm: a gesture, a memory most of us carry from the very first moment we learned to stay upright on the blades.
